Helps to power up H8dme-ex-ls006

We are ready for the power up of the motherboard.

… But the traditional methods, the pins “power on” does not work.

Do not worry, connecting “NMI” pins, and motherboard power up.

If you are lucky, on the display screen you see boot logo. If not, only fan and black screen.

Maybe it’s a one or more RAM DIMM  dead. Just place one dimm and start motherboard. It’s ok? Move the dimms, until found the wrong one 🙂

After booting press del key to acces BIOS, and change the boot order with CD in first and USB after. Take an IP address IPMI, save and reboot.

Connecting with supermicro software IPMI view FTP link with ip adress gived before. User / pass is ADMIN / ADMIN.

In virtual devise plug iso of ESXi and connect it.

Look the screen tab, is your screen report, navigate it, and install ESXi.

My English has not improved…

We’re you able to get the on-board sata devices to pass through? How about the infiniband were you able to get the on-board infiniband adadapters to work, or did they not work so you bought the HP cards?

I figured out how to turn on. The pins do not work the same as a desktop. I have a very nice server set up with dual 6 way opterons and 16 gb of ram with 2 250gb hdds in raid 1. All for under $150 usd. I am running 3 gaming servers on it and cpu utilization barely hits 5%.

The board has IPMI build-in? or with add-on card?

I just bought this same motherboard, and am having many problems getting it to power on. Where are the ‘NMI’ pins, and how did you get it to power on?
Thank you very much for your time,
